In the background clusters of pine trees are barely visible in the blue and white mountain mist. In the foreground are blades of interwoven grass painted with long over lapping brush strokes and standing on the grass is a wet nosed grey wolf whose intense stare draws the viewer to his eyes. The wolf's coat was painted using multiple layers of paint giving him the appearance of having thick dense fur.

I am a self taught artist. Born and raised on a farm in central New York. Nature and wildlife has always been my passion in life. When I started painting in my mid 20's, I was living in the city and missed the country and wanted to capture the nature, wildlife and country scenes that I missed so much. I found that I could escape the city by creating on canvas the scenes of the country side, nature and wildlife by imagining myself being in that particular place as the brush flows across the canvas. Through the years I have tried different techniques in my paintings and learning continually to where I am today.
